Sisters Are Doin’ It For Themselves. When It Suits Them.

Khloe Kardashian has dropped her support for PETA after her sister was flour bombed by an individual believed to be connected to the animal rights group.

Khloe appeared in PETA’s ‘I’d rather go naked than wear fur‘ campaign in 2008, after activist Michelle Cho showed the reality TV star videos of conditions and animal abuse in fur farms. In the aftermath of the bombing, which took place at a red carpet event in West Hollywood’s London Hotel last week, a moment of beautiful symmetry was revealed when it was alleged that the flour-bearing-fiend was none other than Cho’s sister, Christina.

Khloe subsequently stated thatWe all need to practice what we preach. I will still continue to NOT wear fur, but I will no longer support PETA. Bullying and harassment is NEVER a solution, and I won’t be a part of any organization that thinks otherwise.”

Which is fine, except that PETA have never made a secret of their methods. Indeed, Kardashian herself cited the charity’s headline grabbing activities as the reason behind her  initial reluctance to pose nude. She said at the time “I think about extremists and people throwing red paint all over people’s coats and vandalizing property [when I think of PETA]. So I’m kinda nervous.”

So it’s fine for you to tacitly endorse those methods when it’s someone else getting a face full but not your beloved sister? It seems the old adage is true, people. Blood is indeed thicker than water.

When it’s mixed with flour, anyway.
