EA Sports: It’s not what it looks like

Oh, please.

Are we really supposed to believe that you, David Rutter, vice president of EA Sports, are genuinely this excited that endorsement specialist and legendary footballer Pele has turned up to the launch of FIFA 16 at E3?

That this isn’t the result of months of protracted negotiations with his representatives and you’re contractually obliged to be thrilled?

I know the fact that we keep spending our hard earned cash on your products, regardless of the fact that one of the organisations you licence from is being investigated by the FBI over allegations of widespread corruption, makes us look like we’re completely stupid, but we’re not.

So don’t treat us like we are.

Or maybe I’m just hideously bitter, for reasons that should be clear if you’ve just read the above paragraph.

Shut up.
